The National Women's Lacrosse League (NWLL) announced Tuesday that Indiana Tech University's, Kendall Guthrie, has been named the Player of the Week. Guthrie, a junior from Lake Oswego, Oregon, is a midfielder for the Warriors. Indiana Tech defeated Davenport last weekend, 14-13, with the help of Kendall and her four goals and threat in all aspects of the game. In 2012 she was named 1st Team All-Conference for her efforts in lacrosse and on the University’s Dean’s List for her classroom performance. Kendall was noticed by multiple coaches in the NWLL to order to be nominated and receive this honor. Other athletes mentioned were Midland's Sarah Hill, Haley Fauvelle of SCAD, and Reinhardt University's Nicki Caputo. The NWLL will announce a Player of the Week every Tuesday of the season, with the next being announced on March 19th.
